How can I enable two-step verification (2SV) for my Envoice account?

You can access all of Envoice’s Apps using a Single Sign-On (SSO), which means that you can use any service from Envoice using the same email address and password.

You can enhance the security of your account by enabling Two Step Verification (2SV). It is an extra layer of security in which a user is identified using a combination of different methods. If 2SV is enabled in a Envoice account, the user will be identified by:

  • Step 1: Email Address (Username) and a unique password.
  • Step 2: A verification code sent to a registered mobile number or a code generated by authenticator app (like: Google Authenticator).

To enable two-step verification (2SV)  for your account:

  1. Go to envoice.eu and login with your registered email address and password
  2. On the top right corner of Envoice, click on your name to open your profile, then click Settings.
  3. Go to tab Security and turn on two-step verification
  4. Choose if you would like to receive security codes by authenticator app on smartphone or via Text messages

If you chose to use a mobile app,

  1. Download an authenticator app (if you already don't have one), like Google Authenticator. Hit " begin or add" and then scan QR code presented on Envoice.
  2. Enter the security code provided by authenticator app and click next
  3. Enter your mobile phone number to set up back-up method for Two-step verification, so you will not get locked out of your account when something goes wrong with Authenticator app.

If you chose to use text messages,

  1. Enter your mobile phone number
  2. Click Confirm

Turn off Two-step verification

Your account is more secure when you need a password and a verification code to sign in. If you remove this extra layer of security, you will only be asked for a password when you sign in. It might be easier for someone to break into your account.

If your company administrators have made two-step verification mandatory for logging into company account. You can not access the company Envoice account without activating 2-Step Verification on your account.

To turn off Two-step verification (2SV) for your account:

  1. Login to envoice.eu
  2. On the top right corner of Envoice, click on your name to open your profile, then click Settings.
  3. Go to tab Security and turn off Two-step verification
  4. For security reasons, you will need to enter your password.

Your company account is more secure when you require two-step verification for accessing it. If you remove this extra layer of security, users will only be asked for a password when signing in. It can be easier for someone to hijack some users account and get access into your company account.
However, even by disabling two-step verification on company account, users still may use two-step verification for accessing Envoice by enabling the option on personal account.

To Disable Two-step verification

  1. Login to Envoice
  2. Go to Settings and General
  3. Scroll down to section Security and turn off Require two-step verification (2SV)
